Collaboration Background
As a leading telecommunications operator in China, China Unicom has always been committed to driving digital transformation through technological innovation. In 2024, the Xuzhou Branch faced IT architecture challenges brought on by rapid business growth: the traditional middle platform system suffered from high response latency and severe data silos, leading to inefficient customer service. To address this pain point, China Unicom chose to establish a strategic partnership with the Xuzhou Branch, jointly advancing the digital upgrade project of the business middle platform.
Collaboration Process
After the project was launched, both parties formed a joint team comprising technical architects, business analysts, and operations experts. In the first phase, the team conducted a comprehensive audit of the existing middle platform system, identifying 12 key bottlenecks, including API response times exceeding 500ms and data synchronization delays of up to 2 hours. In the second phase, Unicom Cloud Platform and 5G private network technologies were introduced to refactor the core modules of the middle platform, enabling microservices deployment and real-time data stream processing. In the third phase, A/B testing was used to validate the performance of the new system, and full migration was completed within three months.
Problems Solved
