In the wave of digital transformation sweeping the telecommunications industry, China Telecom, as a leading domestic operator, has consistently committed to enhancing service efficiency and customer experience through technological innovation. However, traditional business systems often suffer from issues such as data silos and lengthy processes, which constrain operational agility. In 2021, Yunzhi entered into a strategic partnership with China Telecom Jiangsu Branch and Xuzhou Branch, focusing on the construction of a business middle platform. The goal was to reshape core business processes through cloud computing, big data, and other technologies, achieving a shift from "supporting business" to "driving business."
At the outset of the collaboration, both teams conducted in-depth research into the pain points of telecom operations, including fragmented user data, slow response to marketing campaigns, and complex billing systems. Drawing on its experience in digital transformation, Yunzhi proposed a solution based on a "unified middle platform + microservices architecture," integrating scattered business modules and building an intelligent platform covering customer management, marketing, billing, and operations and maintenance. During implementation, Yunzhi's technical team worked closely with China Telecom's local team to overcome challenges such as system compatibility and data migration, rolling out core functionalities in phases through an agile development model.
Through the construction of the business middle platform, China Telecom achieved multiple breakthroughs: First, with data integration, customer profile accuracy improved by 30%, and marketing campaign ROI increased by 25%. Second, the adoption of automated operations and maintenance tools reduced fault response time from hours to minutes, boosting operational efficiency by 35%. Additionally, the unified billing and settlement platform minimized manual intervention, saving over RMB 5 million in annual costs. In terms of customer experience, service activation time was cut from 3 days to 1 day, and customer satisfaction rose by 20%.
This collaboration not only helped China Telecom make substantial progress in its digital transformation but also provided Yunzhi with valuable experience in the operator sector. The two parties are now planning to deepen their cooperation further, exploring the integrated application of 5G + Cloud + AI to jointly drive the innovative convergence of telecommunications and digital services.
